Our review

The model line is now led by Gemini 3.8 Flash (released Sep 2, 2026 — the third Flash in six weeks), focused on long-horizon coding and agents — DeepSWE v1.1 reached 73.7%, near Opus 5, and the API keeps the limited-time half price through the end of 2026 ($0.75/M input, $3.75/M output). A Cyber variant is limited to trusted defenders. Gemini is Google's multimodal flagship: strong native multimodality, very long context, and deep integration with Search and Workspace — great for long documents, mixed media and office collaboration.

It's unavailable in some regions, answers can be conservative, and it occasionally hallucinates; but if you already live in Google's ecosystem, its integration and multimodality are hard to match.
