Runway is an all-in-one creative platform with first-tier video generation, plus a full kit of rotoscoping, effects and editing tools that creators and marketers love. Since August 2026 it has offered Runway MCP, letting you generate straight from agents like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Replit; the platform also integrates third-party frontier models such as Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1, alongside its own Gen-4.5 focused on physics simulation and cinematic control.
High quality comes with high cost — credit-based billing and slower generation; but if you want one platform to cover the whole video workflow from generation to post, Runway's breadth is hard to replace.
